OTTAWA, September 13, 2022 — Regina-Qu’Appelle Member of Parliament Andrew Scheer issued the following statement on his appointment as the Official Opposition House Leader.
“I am honoured to assume the duties of House Leader for the Official Opposition, and I would like to thank our Leader Pierre Poilievre for trusting me with this important role.
The upcoming session of Parliament brings significant challenges. Canadians are suffering due to Trudeau’s deficits and the inflation that they have caused. Prices have increased at historic levels, and planned tax hikes means Canadians will pay more and take home less. Each and every member of the Conservative opposition is ready to roll up our sleeves to fight Trudeau’s tax hikes and end #Justinflation.
